Welcome to Simple Choice Construction. By accessing our website, requesting information, or entering into an agreement for services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Simple Choice Construction provides general construction services including, but not limited to, home renovations, remodeling, additions, ADU construction, and new construction projects.

The scope of work, timeline, and deliverables for each project will be outlined in a written contract or agreement signed by both parties before work begins.

2. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information regarding project requirements.

  • Respond in a timely manner to requests for approvals, materials selections, or project decisions.

  • Ensure access to the property during scheduled construction hours.

  • Obtain any necessary approvals from homeowners associations (HOAs) or other relevant parties if applicable.

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in delays to the project timeline.

3. Fees and Payment

Project pricing, payment schedules, and deposit requirements will be outlined in the signed contract or proposal.

Payments must be made according to the agreed payment schedule. Failure to make payments on time may result in:

  • Work stoppage

  • Project delays

  • Additional late fees as permitted by law

All payments made for completed work or purchased materials are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.

4. Permits and Approvals

Permit requirements vary depending on the project scope and local jurisdiction.

Unless otherwise specified in the contract, Simple Choice Construction may assist with the permitting process, but approval timelines are determined by local city departments and are outside of our control.

5. Project Timeline

Project timelines provided are estimates based on typical construction schedules.

Delays may occur due to factors outside of our control including but not limited to:

  • Permit approval delays

  • Weather conditions

  • Material shortages

  • Inspections

  • Third-party contractors or suppliers

  • Client requested changes

Simple Choice Construction is not responsible for delays caused by these circumstances.

6. Change Orders

Any modifications to the original scope of work must be documented through a written change order approved by both parties.

Change orders may result in adjustments to the project cost and timeline.

Work related to the change order will not begin until written approval is received.

7. Liability

Simple Choice Construction will perform all services with reasonable skill, care, and in accordance with industry standards.

However, we are not liable for damages, delays, or additional costs resulting from:

  • Third-party contractors

  • Structural conditions not visible prior to demolition

  • City or regulatory changes

  • Force majeure events including natural disasters or other circumstances beyond our control.

8. Website Use

All content on this website including text, images, logos, and project descriptions is the property of Simple Choice Construction.

Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or use of website materials without written permission is prohibited.

9. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary or sensitive information related to the project.

Simple Choice Construction reserves the right to photograph or document completed projects and use them for marketing, portfolio, or promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement in accordance with the terms outlined in the signed construction contract.

If termination occurs, the client is responsible for payment for work completed, materials purchased, and costs incurred up to the termination date.

11. Warranties

Any warranties related to construction work will be outlined in the written project contract.

Manufacturer warranties for materials, appliances, or products are subject to the terms provided by the respective manufacturers.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Any disputes arising from these terms or related services shall be handled within the jurisdiction of the courts located in California.

13. Changes to Terms

Simple Choice Construction reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.

Updates will be posted on this page and become effective immediately upon publication.
